KarlyMorganPR I Thought Losing My Hair Required a Diploma Nov 4, 2009 6:13 AM Attending school is supposed to be memorable and fun, or am I wrong? Humber College is known for its Public Relations program, having one of the highest success rates for its graduating students.  Unfortunately, my classmates and I feel nothing more than ready to drop-out and find a blue collar job where we would be happy! More than half-way through our third year, we're dealing with the worries of seven classes, and an internship placement. They warned us on the first day that the PR industry is going to be a lot to handle, but no one warned us of the stress that came before receiving our diploma.  Don't get me wrong, I love the program and the material we are learning but something has to change.  The funny thing is, none of us in the program can pinpoint the source to this over-load of stress. Is it the cirriculum? http://postgraduate.humber.ca/04561.htm For my fellow students reading this, we have one month to go and an internship. Here's some tips on how to cope with the stress of Humber Life http://www.cmha.ca/english/coping_with_stress/. Personally, the Humber College student newsletter should consider providing an entire section on how to deal with the stress of the Public Relations program!
